shureShure Distribution UK, the leading distributor of professional audio equipment, today announces the launch of the hotly anticipated Shure Professional Headphone range at LIMS 09.

The brand new range arrives in the UK with three models, the SRH240, SRH440 and SRH840, combining Shure’s legendary quality and heritage with class-leading technology.

The new headphones represent Shure’s first foray into the headphone market and range from entry level and home recording offerings to premium quality professional headphones.
The SRH240 headphones are the entry level headphones in the new series. They are designed for general listening and monitoring applications and offer powerful bass response and clear highs. These headphones are targeted for studio monitoring and recording applications offering the same detachable cable and collapsible design as the SRH440 model. In addition, a padded adjustable headband has been incorporated for superior fit and comfort. The SRH840 is supplied with a carrying bag and an additional set of ear pads.

“Shure is well known in the professional audio and consumer audio market for our range of in-ear earphones” comments Paul Crognale, Marketing Manager at Shure Distribution UK. “We’ve drawn on our experience with pro audio monitoring systems and sound isolation technology and applied it to a whole new range of headphones. Shure kit is installed in studios across the globe and we anticipate the high quality of the new range will make these headphones as commonplace in the studio as our microphones are now.”
